Dude, Wait, What?
TopSpot is a Firefox plugin written by me (metagnome) to allow members of the GameSpot community to easily share their opinions on the best and worst games in a variety of genres and platforms. TopSpot is based around the simple concept of making a list of your "Top 5 favourite..." which can then be viewed by any other TopSpot user who views your GameSpot user profile. Basically what TopSpot does is add a new tab to all GameSpot user profiles that you view, from which you can view top fives and add or edit your own lists. Still not quite sure? Well, it looks like this:For information on how to use the TopSpot features, head over to the Help section
Franchises, Stats and Users
01 August 2007, 2:54The stats and users pages from the topspot site now show up on GameSpot profile pages, which should make it easier to browse other topspot users' profiles.
I've also added a new type of category: franchises (thanks to hokies1313 for the suggestion). This will include things like Final Fantasy Games, Mario Bros games, etc. As always, suggestions welcome
News Tab
29 July 2007, 5:45I changed the 'recent' tab that shows up in profile pages to 'news' instead, on the gorunds that the recent tab wasn't actually being used.
Small Changes
29 July 2007, 5:20I've added a list of the top 5 most prolific users on the Users page. It probably goes without saying, but it shows the five users who have completed the most topspot lists.
